Heart-shaped parmesan crisps
Heart-shaped Parmesan crisps are the perfect salty, cheesy addition to a salad or a bowl of soup. Very simple to make. Heat the oven to 350 degrees. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. With about a tablespoon of shredded parmesan, shape it into a heart shape. Bake for about 5 minutes until golden brown on the edges.
Strawberry heart yogurt parfaits
Add a simple heart-shaped strawberry to some vanilla yogurt, a dollop of strawberry jam, a sprinkle of some granola, and a mint leaf for a beautiful Valentine’s Day breakfast parfait. Serve it in a beautiful glass, like this martini glass and you have a gorgeous and easy breakfast for your Valentine.
I used the heart-shaped cutter from the Pop Chef Fruit Cutter to cut my strawberries. But you can easily cut-out a heart-shape yourself with just a knife. I cut my strawberries in half first, stem to tip, so you can get two hearts out of each strawberry.
Baked French Toast with Strawberry hearts
You can also add heart-shaped strawberries to your French toast. Here is my recipe for Non-Soggy Overnight French Toast Bake. It is simple to assemble the night before, add some heart-shaped strawberries in the morning, and pop in the oven. And you have a very festive Valentine’s Day breakfast or brunch.
Mozzarella heart-shaped chicken
These may be a little more abstract hearts but it really proves you can turn cut anything into a heart-shaped food. This is just mozzarella slices cut into heart shapes and melted over chicken breasts. This is the Mozzarella Chicken recipe I used.
Strawberry Mimosa with a strawberry heart
I promise this is the last way I will show you what you can do with a heart-shaped strawberry. But this Strawberry Orange Mimosa is so good. It’s a really yummy way to start off your Valentine’s Day. Just slice the strawberry a little and slide it on the rim of your glass.
Brownies with a Heart
Here is another really easy way to turn regular brownies into a Valentine’s Day treat. Simply add a heart to the top with chocolate chips, sprinkles, or candy. This a really yummy Flourless Brownie recipe, with just chocolate chips outlined in a heart-shape.
Giant heart-shaped cookie
If you own a heart-shaped baking pan there are lots of fun things you can fill it with. But a simple idea is just to fill it with your favorite chocolate chip cookie recipes. Decorate with some frosting and your Valentine’s Day dessert is set.
